Warehouse Challenges

Mr. Dave Olah will open the session discussing the Harrisburg Area Offices proposed Local Emphasis Program (LEP) addressing material handling equipment and the Under-Ride Hazard. This hazard is a misunderstood hazard that may not be recognized in the workplace. The discussion will also focus on means to control the Under-Ride Hazard risk.

Ms. Jen Fritz and Mr. Seth Landis will discuss the many challenges associated with warehouses. This will include safety hazards, new technology, recommended training, unique inventory requests, dock requirements, etc. There is a growing workforce in this type of environment and we need to properly prepare them so that accidents are avoided.
