Presentation will focus on multiple ideas on how to present training with a hands-on approach with focus on OSHA training topics. Training methods can vary depending on your audience. This presentation will share ways to be flexible in your training depending on the assessment of your audience.   Power points only share information, but hands-on learning can help your employees to understand and apply that information.  Attendees will leave with practical ideas that they can then apply in their own training.

Catharine "Christy" Bliss, Program Manager MAOTIEC, Northhampton College

Christy Bliss is the Program Manager for the Mid-Atlantic OSHA Training Institute Education Center at Northampton Community College in Bethlehem, PA.  Christy’s role as program manager began in 2017 when NCC became a consortium partner in the MAOTIEC with Chesapeake Region Safety Council.  In addition, Christy is an instructor for NCC for both credit and non-credit courses and is an Authorized OSHA Outreach Instructor in General Industry since 2016.  Prior to her role at NCC, Christy was in the safety, health and environmental industry for the past 10years as a trainer, consultant and sales representative.   Christy’s education includes a BS in Elementary Education from Bucknell University and Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from Loyola University.
