About the Presentation

This workshop will provide a brief overview of the VPP.  It will describe a brief description of the requirements along with an overview of the process.  Attendees will also hear what the benefits are for a site.

Terry Penn, OSHA VPP Manager – Region 3, OSHA
 
Presenter Biography

Ms. Penn serves as OSHA’s Region 3 VPP Program Manager.  She is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the VPP sites in her region.  At present, Region 3 has close to 150 active sites.  She is also a Safety Specialist in the OSHA Philadelphia Regional Office and serves as a technical resource for safety and the VPP.    She served as Team Leader for the majority of the sites in the program since 1999.  Ms. Penn has also been the instructor for the Special Government Employee class in Region 3 and also at the National VPPPA conferences.

Dona File, Corporate Safety Director, L. F. Driscoll  
Presenter Biography

Dona File worked 12 years as a union carpenter before being promoted to Corporate Safety Director in 1992.  Her career spans 30 years with the L. F. Driscoll Company. Dona is the Founder of the Mid-Atlantic Construction Safety Council and served as its first President from 1997-2007. Dona earned her undergraduate degree from Slippery Rock University and her Masters of Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania.  Recently, Dona spearheaded a 30 hour training in Healthcare Construction for the LF Driscoll Healthcare Center of Excellence.  She is an ASHE Certified Healthcare Constructor.
