This program will discuss the differences between OSHA's General Industry and Construction standards.  Program topics include the differences between construction warning lines & general industry designated areas, "OSHA" anchor points & ANSI/IWCA I14 anchor points, equipment options/solutions and proper configurations.

Presenter Biography

Mr. Kane has over 28-years of professional experience in the safety industry.  He has worked for some of the world’s largest fall protection companies and has held several key positions including Market Development Manager at Miller Fall Protection and Director of Sales & Marketing at Mechanical Safety Equipment.  His safety knowledge has been instrumental in designing fall protection systems and solutions for several fall protection manufacturers, Fortune 500 companies, universities, utilities and manufacturing plants throughout the United States.

Mr. Kane currently holds the position of Director of Safety Services at Diamond Tool in Philadelphia, PA.  Here he specializes in the evaluation, design, layout, sale and implementation of fall protection systems.  Over the last 15 years, Mr. Kane has grown Diamond Tool into North America’s largest independent dealer of freestanding guardrail systems.  As a fall protection expert, he is often called upon to speak at events for OSHA, MSHA, industry associations, unions and universities.  Mr. Kane is an active member of the fall protection community and is frequently asked by his peers to provide consultations, assessments, testing, training, design/application assistance and professional reviews.
