About the Presentation
This Workshop will focus on the new OSHA General Industry and Construction standards for reducing permissible exposure to respirable crystalline silica and associated requirements for medical surveillance and compliance. Attendees will learn where the standard applies, silica assessment methods, sample data interpretation, and exposure control plans. Medical surveillance needs and methods, including different types of required medical testing and the necessary paperwork for compliance, will be discussed.

Presenter Biography

Betsy Lovensheimer, CIH, has more than 25 years of professional experience in environmental, health, and safety program development, implementation and management. She holds a Master’s of Science in Occupational Health and Safety and is board certified as an Industrial Hygienist and Safety Professional. Her experience includes the development, implementation, management of EHS programs for a variety of sectors including: technology, manufacturing, logistics, insurance, print/packaging, and government, among others.
