About the Presentation

We will discuss the importance of employee education and training in reducing injuries. The benefits of a customized program will be discussed, as well as, the importance of the support from management at all levels. The effectiveness of employee participation in the development of the training programs will be discussed as well.

Presenter Biography

Mr. Miller has been with NovaCare Rehabilitation for 13 years. He started as a WorkStrategies Specialist to start up an onsite injury prevention program for a local energy company. In 2011, Sean became the WorkStrategies Coordinator for NovaCare Rehabilitation in Western PA region where he oversees the WorkStrategies Services in an 18 county region and assists companies in reducing injuries through post offer employment testing, job analysis, risk assessments and injury prevention programs. Prior to joining NovaCare Rehabilitation, Mr. Miller worked as an Athletic Trainer in a variety of settings from high school, college and professional baseball. Mr. Miller received his Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from Marshall University in 1989 and his Master’s degree in Public Health from Austin Peay State University in 1991. He is a Certified Athletic Trainer through the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification and a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist.
