About the Presentation

This workshop will provide attendees with an approach to defining and implementing the key elements of a safety program supported by a foundation of employee / management participation. Tactics for managing risk that result in the sustainable reduction of incidents, including an innovative solution to managing a peer to peer observation program, will be shared.  Attendees will come away from this session energized with innovative ideas designed to refresh and strengthen their safety programs.

Presenter Biography

With more than 25 years of experience in environmental, health & safety, Ray Delfing has made substantial contributions at various organizational levels. Ray has a reputation for combining process and technology to develop and sustain the type of systemic cultural change that leads to significant reductions in work related accidents, injuries, employee health issues and environmental liabilities, resulting in reduced risk management cost, while positively impacting regulatory compliance and employee moral.  Ray is currently the Environmental, Health and Safety Manager at Wheelabrator Falls, Inc., a waste to energy facility located in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
