In a world where safety standards, policies, requirements and guidelines continue to proliferate, many of us still find ourselves unable to achieve and maintain zero injuries.  This session will discuss the important role that company and project safety cultures play in achieving zero and will provide some potential acceleration ideas for developing your desired safety culture.

Presenter Biography

Marni is currently the Director of Health and Safety for Mortenson Construction, based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.  During her career she has spent time in both the semiconductor and construction industries.  Marni earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Environmental Studies from the University of Minnesota Duluth.  She returned the following fall to obtain her Master’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety.  She is currently on the NW ASSE PDC Committee and is Secretary for the National Construction Safety Executives organization.
