Clearing the Air – OSHA Respirable Crystalline Silica Dust Rule Overview

 
About the Presentation

OSHA 29 CFR 1926.1153 went into effect in June 2016 and will require compliance on September 23, 2017. With this change, there are new standards with which industry professionals will be required to comply. This presentation will help educate the participant on these new standards as well as provide an overview of the work Hilti has completed to better understand the new codes and how they will change our industry.

Robbie Kolovson, Project Manager, Hilti, Inc.

 
Presenter Biography

Mr. Kolovson has been with Hilti, Inc. for four years. He holds an architectural engineering degree from the University of Texas at Austin and began his career with Hilti in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he was a technical support engineer. Later, he moved to Washington D.C. and a became a field engineer where he assisted the local contractors and engineers with fastening and protection support, including design assist, training, and job site inspections. Recently, he has assumed a Project Manager role in Hilti, covering the east coast for the organization. His main responsibilities include overseeing education and strategy regarding the new OSHA 1926.1153 regulations for silica dust.
