Presenter Biography

Mr. Scott has been with McClure Company for over 14 years developing safety programs, training employees, performing job site inspections and cultivating a safety culture alongside the people he works with.  He has performed safety inspections across the state of Pennsylvania at demolition, renovation and new construction projects.  He’s been involved with various types of facilities including… K-12, Higher Education, Healthcare, Industrial, Gas Field, Government, Pharmaceutical, Power and Commercial Buildings.  With over 22 years of experience in construction safety he develops and promotes safety plans into every task to ensure that all workers go home safe at the end of every day.

Jim Touey, OSHA Region III Labor Liaison
 
Presenter Biography

Mr. Touey joined OSHA’s Philadelphia Area Office in 1997 as an OSHA Compliance Officer and conducted over 450 OSHA compliance inspections of work-sites. In 2007 he was appointed as the Compliance Assistant for the office and assumed the responsibilities as the Region III Labor Liaison in 2010. As the Region III Labor Liaison Mr. Touey acts as a facilitator between OSHA Region III and their stakeholders. Represents OSHA's Regional Office at meetings of employer organizations, trade associations, labor organizations as well as community and faith based organizations. In this role he plans, coordinates, implements and maintains Regional outreach program designed to encourage workers and their representatives to actively participate in occupational safety and health issues. Additionally, he evaluates the effectiveness and impact of OSHA programs as they relate to labor unions, organized and unorganized worker.

Jeremy Flickinger, General Foreman, The McClure Company  
Presenter Biography

Mr. Flickinger has been with McClure Company for 15 years. He started his apprenticeship with McClure Co. in 2001 and has progressed into the role of General Foreman. He has been involved with many types of construction. Everything from new construction to renovations including… Schools, Power plant (both hydroelectric and gas fired), Paper mills, Steel mills, Healthcare facilities, Pharmaceutical, and Food processing facilities. He is responsible for implementing the McClure Co. safety culture on his jobsites. This includes going over task specific JSA/Safe Plan of actions with the workers, Weekly Tool Box Talks, Jobsite safety inspections, Monthly Safety Audits, and working closely with McClure’s safety department to devise and implement a plan when unusual situations occur on their jobsites. He is also a member of McClure Companies Safety Committee.
