Confined Space Rescue

About the Presentation

According to NIOSH, confined space accidents take up to 100 lives per year, many of these fatalities are the would-be rescuers. This live demonstration will take you step-by-step through a simulated confined space rescue. Audience members will have an opportunity to participate in the rescue operations, guided by accredited professionals using industry best practices. This session will encourage discussion and interactive learning.

Presenter Biography

Mr. Kramer has more than 20 years of experience in the health and safety industry. He has successfully developed numerous customized health and safety solutions for both public and private industry consulting clients. He is especially adept at training where he provides practical knowledge through stimulating, interactive sessions. Mr. Kramer’s clients include construction, industry, pharmaceutical, food manufacturing, and healthcare providers. His experience includes trainings, safety program development, on-site safety oversight, industrial hygiene, and site-specific engineering solutions.


Luke Lazar, CSP, Director of Safety Consulting, Rettew

Mr. Lazar has more than 20 years of experience providing safety, industrial hygiene, and educational consultation services. He has worked with a variety of clients to provide assistance with safety programs including auditing, program development, program management, and education. He particularly enjoys the hands-on training demonstrations and brings both practical knowledge and entertaining commentary to his audience. His clients include manufacturers, utilities, pharmaceutical companies, educators, healthcare providers, and service providers. Mr. Lazar offers consulting to ensure clients comply with regulatory agencies on federal, state, and local levels.
